    Wireless/Network Card Drivers - Toshiba Satellite C55D-A5108

Hey guys im back again...I just bought a brand new Satellite today at the local best buy and it had windows 8.1 installed...i opened the box, didnt even bother turning it on and began removing the hard drive so i can put in the solid state from my old satellite...also formatted and installed a clean copy of Windows 7 Ultimate. The first problem is i cannot connect to a network either on wireless or wired. I have checked the Toshiba website and downloaded a few different drivers but they arent installing...not real sure whats going on. I havent ran into a problem where it just wont install...maybe its a fluke, idk.

The biggest thing is that i cant seem to figure out the make/model of the card installed in this laptop. It seems as though Toshiba put 3 different cards in this model depending on which config you get. I used speccy to try and look it up...but since there are no drivers installed it doesnt know either, it sees it, but cannot tell me what it is.

    The laptop model number is:
    Satellite C55D-A5108

    The laptop part number is:
    PSCFWU-04C031

Thanks as usual for any and all help. I will continue searching myself...i cant just sit idle...

Murd3d mate where did you get the OS from ie did you buy an OEM or retail version?

First of all this are the driver downloads Drivers & Software Support | Toshiba

Now there are three that I can see and we need to establish which card is in that machine.
To do that look at this

    Using HW Info

You can test the volts on the PSU with HWInfo HWiNFO, HWiNFO32/64 -Download < download the right bit version andclose the right hand window select Sensors and scroll down to the power sectionwhere you will see what the volts are doing see my pic.

The original right hand window shows themachine running and is handy for that but for looking at the components in some detail close it and use themain left hand side panel

Open each + down into the componentitself and then click on it - in theright hand side will appear all sorts of details including brands speeds andother essential info that device. See pic for example.
Thsi I did up for volts on the PSU but in the pic you can open out in your case the Network + and see the wifi adaptors and see what is in the machine as we need to know the brand that the driver sis for.

I've got the same model PC here and have tried several drivers to get the WLAN working with no luck. Can you tell me which driver you used?
