    issue with keyboard


    I have rebooted my laptop still my few keyboard switches doesn't work


    I have acer v5-379 with Windows 7 home premium 64bit

    Abhi hello and welcome mate some system specs would be helpful System Info - See Your System Specs

    Also look in Device Manager and open out Keyboards and see if there are any yellow triangles there.

    Having trouble with keyboard


    Hello everyone,

    I have acer V5-721 with 6gb ram and intel i3


    i have rebooted my C drive as per acer technical support.

    my laptop still having trouble with keyboard,few of the keys stop working


    what i did so far;

    reinstalled key drivers

    rebooted computer

    updated windows and drivers

    Abhi are you still covered with warranty? because this is beginning to sound like it could be a physical problem with the keys themselves.

    Just out of interest look in Control Pane; > Keyboard and se what settings you have.

    No warranty anymore become 1.5 year old, and I have PS/2 keyboard and driver version is 6.1.7601.17514

    I dont this its hardware problem because its suddenly stop working few switches

    Hum that is what I mean Abhi it could be on a few of the more frequently used ones. By the by no spills dropped machine or other sort of physical damage?

    Now a lot of laptop keyboard switches are the rubberized electromagnetic type that just short across the contacts and even though most are sealed that doesn't mean crud cannot or will not get in - see pic for rough example.

    Sorry the pic didn't' turn out right the bottom block has two contacts that are shorted by the upper pad

    I have cleaned my laptop same day probably while cleaning I have pressed many switches same time.do you have any suggestion for replacement, where can I find
