    Next, I don’t know if this approach will help until we try it. Let’s create a device install logfile.

    I attached a .zip file. It contains two .reg files. The .reg files control the level of detail written to the log. Each .reg file applies a pretty simple registry change

    SetVerboseLog.reg - sets verbose logging
    Code:
    Windows Registry Editor Version 5.00
    [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Setup]
    "LogLevel"=dword:08007070
    ResetDefaultLog.reg - resets back to default
    Code:
    Windows Registry Editor Version 5.00
    [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Setup]
    "LogLevel"=dword:00000000
    So here’s the steps
    1. Run the disk cleanup tool again. USB drive or flash problems? How to cleanup and remove old USB storage drivers - TechSpot Forums
    2. Unpack the zip file to your Desktop. Double click to run SetVerboseLog.reg. When prompted, allow the registry change
    3. Delete C:\WINDOWS\inf\setupapi.dev.log
    4. Now insert your flash drive. Wait for the error message to occur
    5. There's now a new C:\WINDOWS\inf\setupapi.dev.log . Zip it and upload to next post
    6. Let’s leave Verbose logging set for now. You can reset it back to Default some time later when we're ready by simply running ResetDefaultLog.reg

    You ran the bat as admin?

    Right click run as administrator?
    That's what I did wrong. Everything is working now. Thanks!
