Just as an aside, have you seen these? A PCI-e card that gives you an internal 20-pin USB 3.0 header. You could get your port working as USB 3.0 then.
I've seen similar products to that, but as I'm beginning to consider upgrading my CPU and motherboard in the relatively near future, so that I will have a native USB 3 header, an additional PCI-e slot, as I've only got one x16 and one x4 at the moment. I just wanted the adapter to be able to use the USB port in the mean time. Thanks anyway :)
