What adapter would i need to use this on my desktop?
So i have a harddrive kicking about, would someone mind linking me to a page on amazon.co.uk where i can buy an adapter for this?

You shouldn't need anything.
The HM160HI is a standard 2.5" hard drive. It has standard SATA data and power ports.
What you are looking at there is a casing that encloses the drive to add an interface for it to fit into whatever laptop or enclosure it came out of.
The should be a way of removing that casing.
In your top photo I can see the rim of the casing running down both sides of the hard drive and around the back (furthest point in the photo).
In the second photo I can see the underside of the casing and the adapted interface.
What I can't see is the sides of the casings and the rear. There has got to be either screws or tabs that snap the casing into place over the actual hard drive.
What you will need to do is identify the attachments, remove them, and then pull the hard drive up and out of the casing.
Once you have done this you will have a standard hard drive and you can connect it with standard SATA cables just like any other drive.

EDIT: The 6 screws you see on the top of the hard drive in the top photo are actually part of the hard drive. Do not remove those. They should not be the attachment to the casing.

Those pins are on a connector that likely just pops off, too, exposing the actual SATA connectors underneath. Once it's free of that casing.
You must have pulled that drive from a laptop.

There is probably 2-4 screws on the backside of the drive and let the adapter try to slide out of it.

Are you wanting to mount it in a tower? Newegg has this kit. The outside casing and sata to HP converter need to be removed first though. :)

You guys are geniuses! Its from my mums old laptop the gfx burned out destroying everything on its way out, i was able to save the HDD to save here data!
