I have something similar in my server, but for 3.5" drives. I also have a single slot varient so I can take a drive out of the stack and put it in anothet computer without having to take it out of its housing.

From my understanding of this product. All I have to do is put it in a 5 1/4 bay and wire it up to a sata port and I have a hot sway for ssd. At least that's my understanding.
Push the ssd in and use it. When done remove the ssd.
    That's what I want.

My thinking is the ability of installing things like Linux on small ssd and just hot swapping.
Push them in when done remove them.

Just had this brain storm early today. This way (I'm hoping) to have the speed of a ssd and a sata port with a hot swap.

mine has separate sata leads per drive, so if its the same, youll need a few spare sata ports, or a pci sata adaptor.

the only issue with other os's youll have is youll have to manually select it as a boot drive every time you want to change the boot drive via the bios.

I was going to set the boot order the way I have it now.
    USB first
    DVD second
    C drive third.

I will just add the new hot swap after the DVD. If I have the hot swap ssd out it will just boot into C Drive. If I have the hot swap ssd is in with a boot able it will boot the hot swap ssd before it gets to C Drive.

If their is nothing boot able in in the USB or DVD or H/S it boots from C Drive.

It increases boot time to C Drive about 3 to 4 sec.

Jack, I had a HAF X with 2 hot swap bays in it. That's what I used them for. I have no experience with tha particular hot swap bay, but the idea works just fine. Just be sure when you install another OS, your windows drive is disconnected.

    Thanks Steve and Adam.

Steve do you download Lynux directly to the H/S and then reboot off the H/S and install.

Because of many brain farts I get at times could you give me a 1, 2, 3, steps.
I will print the instructions. This should help with my brain farts.
