Will DDR3 1666 slot work with older DDR3 1333 mem stick? (laptop)

Hello my old laptop Acer aspire 7551g had 4gb DDR3 1333.

The new one is Lenovo G500s with DDR3 1single 1666 so i have one slot left.

    So DDR3 1333 + DDR3 1666 will work or not?

The goal is to have 8gb ram so i can cheak if Watch Dogs still lag when driving :) (i know one stupid game not worth it?)

What i want to know is is it safe to try?

    So thank you for answears.

Is it safe to try? Yes
    Will it work? Maybe

In theory any combination of compatible RAM should work together but in the real world that isn't always the case. For best results it is always best to use matched modules. Differences in size, speed, or even manufacturer can cause problems.

If it works all modules will run at the speed of the slowest.

Be aware that only a 64 bit OS can use more than 4 GB RAM.

Unplug the battery and ac power and be sure the computer is completely shut down.

EDIT: Okay here is info about ram from cpu-z what can you guys tell me and thanks for help from begining :)

Should i be worried that new one works at 1.35 Voltage and old one 1.5V?

The old mem stick is Samsung and new is from Ramaxel.

Use this to look at your memory. Do NOT use the big green download button, its a different program. Use the links to the right circled in red.

You can also run this memory test to see if they play nice together.

Looks to me like it's working. There's no problem with varying voltages, different RAM chips use different voltages.
