Help about the Processors

    Help about the Processors


    Hi all
    Recently i spotted that one of my processors is parking... and i don't know how to make it run... i have follow the steps in msconfig by changing number of Processors... but the computer still slow as normal, and task manager still show only 1 CPU running... so if anyone can help me, please let me know...

    Are you running any programs that will use the parked processor, could just be idle, try running some intensive software then check
    If not sure you could always run prime95 on it which will stress test the cpu but don't leave alone while doing it as temperatures can rise quickly so be sure to monitor

    That's for boot only. Boot will use all processors by default unless you limit it by selecting that option. That should be left alone.

    The only ways I can see a parked core happening on a desktop are:
    1. The power options are set for a laptop or for the highest power saving option.
    2. Windows is a hacked version from a laptop.

    Sorry guys... i have lots of work so i post it kinda late...
    Do you guys mean i take a screenshot of the BOOT advanced options ?

    Recently i check the Task manager, i saw only 1 CPU is running. But i check the Resource Monitor, it said i have 2 CPU running... i am happy it's running, but later i think the second CPU doesn't run at all
