Reset CMOS using pins now monitor can't find an output?

    Hi there,

Ive been having some problems recently installing win7 as a complete fresh install ( formatting HD and all that )
The short story is that it gets as fas as rebooting first time, starting services and then a black screen nothing more.
Everything is pointing to a problem with the graphics/video card and after some searching on here i found that i could reset the Cmos using a jumper on the 2 pins marked which i found easily and followed instructions. Now when i switch on the pc the monitor comes up with a little box saying can't find signal going to sleep.

    Ahhhhhhhhh!!! What a nightmare!!!

What can i do seeing as my motherboard has no onboard graphics and the monitor uses the graphics card to connect via adapter.

    Thanks for your time,

    Sue x

When you reset the CMOS it returns all the BIOS settings to the default settings, so you will need to enter the motherboard set up & reset all the Hard Drive & other settings as they were before you reset the CMOS. Also you will need to reset the time & date.
I assume that you returned the jumper to the original pins after you did the reset.
