Disk Volume Corrupted when using Diskchk

So just a while ago i booted up my pc and i got a disk check notice, no problem, so i let it check it and it gives me the volume check error, so i use a startup repair to see what went wrong and it says that my disk volume is corrupted, so im pretty much screwed for using disk check now, if there is any fix please tell me asap.

    Hello hillsr500!

What is the make and model of the HDD, capacity, how old is it, do you have data on it and of what kind? :)

Do you have any problems at the moment? Can you use the drive, read/write from/to it?

I would suggest you first backing up at once onto another HDD. Please post back with answers to the questions.
