How to stop windows from asking to format a drive?

I just did something that i should not do. I tried to merge two partitions using easeus partition software and now the window is a asking to format the drive.

    So can i stop this?
Also please tell that is it possible to recover data from formatted partition?

This is why we recommend only using Partition Wizard bootable CD which along with Disk Mgmt has never failed in countless thousands of partitioning operations we've helped with here. Any other can fail.

Try running Partition Wizard Partition Recovery Wizard - Video Help.

If it fails do not format the drive. Move to PW Data Recovery.

Alright i solved the problem. Well there is no way to stop windows from asking that. But I was able to recover the data from that hard disk using by using Easeus Data recovery software. The free version allows only 2 gb to recover. It scanned my 750gb hd for 3-4h then i was easily able to recover my data on external hard drive. I recovered almost 170 gb.
After it i formatted the Drive(partition) and replaced the data.

Did you try to recover the partition intact?

    Glad you got your data.

Yes. When i clicked on partition it said "You need to format the disk in drive E: before
    you can use it"
But i didn't formatted it. Did some searches and found easeus data recovery. Other option is Minitool etc.

But if anyone has formatted then Only those partition is recoverable in which quick format option is selected.

Did you click the blue link I gave you for Partition Wizard Partition Recovery Wizard - Video Help?

This might have allowed you to recover the partition intact as though it had never gone away. It's an undelete process. We use it here all the time. It is NOT data recovery which rarely works. I am glad it worked for you however, probably because you were wise enough not to format.
