Looks OK to me. No bad sectors found, it cleaned up a few things as it does when I run it.

Are you having any trouble with the disk?

    Thanks for the expert interpretation.

No drive errors or disk trouble.

Only when I open a new tab on G Chrome it occasionally appears black for a couple of secs before turning white.....home page is set about blank?

Video driver is fine update, no malware...

how often should CHKDSK be run?

This is what I was getting as shown in the screen shot, but after running CHKDSK no more......did that help solve the issue?

    Emptied Prefetch using CCleaner too.

    Thanks.

Never realized CHKDSK was so important. Issues that i was getting were on a restored image and after CHKDSK they are gone and the machine is more crisp and responsive.

Should such system maintenance procedures as CHDSK, Disk Defrag etc be run monthly?

    Thanks again.

I set Windows defrag to run on an automated schedule, once per week. I never even notice if it is running and my fragmentation level is usually 0 and never above 3%.

I rarely run chkdsk. Only once a year or so, just for information purposes to see what it turns up. But you should pay attention to some of the SMART details and keep the disk cleaned up with built in Disk Cleanup or CCleaner. Get an idea of the drive's ordinary operating temps.

You can also take a look at the drive manufacturer's downloadable tools, but you probably wouldn't run them if you weren't having significant issues.
