Philips SPC 300NC PC Camera won't connect to my computer.

So hello i have a Philips SPC 300NC PC Camera
witch is an old webcam i have but 3 days ago it stopped working i plugged it in and it did nothing i opend a little app called video view butt under the devices drop down list there was no option to select it Philips SPC 300NC PC Camera won't connect to my computer.-bandicam-2014-07-22-22-13-09-370.png
I was thinking i just messed up with the hardware or files or drivers so i dicated to wait until i get home any try my webcam there but the same deal it does not work and windows does not even give me a balloon saying hardware failure or anything my webcam can't be broken it looks fine but i does nothing can anyone tell me what's wrong maybe it has something to do with windows updates? i always suspect the windows updates because Microsoft always finds a whey to screw up with them.

Dave can you find the camera in Device Manager and if so does it have a small yellow triangle against it?

Dave mate if it is not there then something is amiss. Could you have another look through everything especially HID (Human Interface Devices) and check.
Just check in Devices and Printers too in the Start menu.

By the by this is the driver for it

I looked there but i found nothing and the drivers won't work if windows won't give me a sign to inform me about the hardware then there is no hope.

Hmm sounds like a new camera is what is needed mate eh? Now what to get I have not much of an idea as I used one many years ago and never kept up with what is in now so the choice is yours but I certainly would research which to get.
Maybe a thread posted in the hardware section here would come up with good suggestions as there are many experience users on the forum.
    God luck.
    John:)
