    Partition USB Pen Drive

    Hi All,

Does anyone know how to (if possible) partition a 32gb USB Pen Drive?

I would like to have 1 partition running Multiboot - YUMI ? Multiboot USB Creator | USB Pen Drive Linux
and the other as standard USB storage.

Lets say a 5gb multiboot partition and 27gb storage partition.

    Is this possible?

    Regards,
    Jamie

Yes it is Jamie. Install and setup Yumi first, then partition afterwards.

Jamie, use a 3rd party tool like Partition Wizard, then split the current partition as shown below. You can then resize etc.

    Hi Golden,
Sorry for the very late reply, i kept meaning to try this but never got time to do it sorry.

I am having an issue getting the 2nd partition to show in Windows Explorer.

The 1st Partition (F: ) has Multiboot on it and i can see this in Windows Explorer.
The 2nd Partition (G: ) is just free space for storage but doesn't show in Windows Explorer.

    What does Disk mgmt. show?
See: Disk Management - Post a Screen Capture Image

Removable devices are classified differently by Windows based on the device. You might have to mount the partition, I'm not sure - PW sees it with drive letter G......

I made a schoolboy error and didn't apply the changes, i have since applied the and now get a * rather than a letter (it still doesn't show in explorer)
