    SSD Samsung Data Migration software question


    Hey,

    Has anyone tried to use the Samsung Data Migration software for other brands? I have a new Crucial SSD and, faced with a 263MB (!) Acronis d/l over a torpid internet connection, am wondering if my Sammy disc will work.

    The last I checked, a Macrium Reflect download is under 50 GB and can clone or image to a new disk.

    I wouldn't think it would hurt to at least try the Samsung software, but it might balk outright and quit if it does not see a Samsung drive as the destination.

    AOMEI Partition Assistant has "wizard" to migrate OS to SSD or HDD.

If your cloning a spinner hard drive to an Intel ssd does the Intel Data Migration Software align the cloned partition from the spinner to the correct alignment of the ssd? The software from intel doesn't mention it or say that it does... If not then I'm gonna have to align the ssd partition...
