ASUS Q501LA - does anyone know what the MOBO inputs consist of?

I just bought this computer, and I gotta say, first looking at the specs it doesn't seem all that powerful, but it runs really well. It is actually a win-8 PC but I am not here regarding the OS and the 7 forums get a little more TLC than the 8 forums in my experience.

As I said, I love it. To be honest, its kinda making me power thirsty for more. I know it has a SSD bay, underneath the hood. I also know it uses PCI-E mini for the BT 4.0 and 802.11AC adapter.... What I guess I am really wondering is if there are any other PCI-E mini bays that I could throw a GeForce 745m into or something or if there are any other interesting little bays under the hood that maybe I might want to know about.

I love ASUS. I have never had a bad experience with a product its self besides warehouse and shipping damages which really have nothing to do with the product its self. They peaked my interest by including a SSD bay. It was a wise decision. Their customization never ceases to amaze me.

Thanks so much,
Thornton Strolia

I have two SSD's in my PC, but have never heard of a "SSD bay". The SATA ports handle either a SSD or an HDD. This isn't really important, but I was looking up your Motherboard to help with your PCIe question and was having a problem finding it. Your specs say "AMD am3 24fsb". Is there a more complete name for it? You can find out all of your specs by downloading https://www.piriform.com/speccy
They have a pay program, but just download the free one. That is all you need and get back with the Motherboard name. Thanks,

The am3 mobo is my desktop. Last I looked (almost 3 years ago) there was no way of specifiying more than one computer in my specs.
I only say bay about the SSD slot because it is listed as dedicated. It looks like a normal HDD input but is labeled specifically for SSD.

My desktop, I know all about and know that my mobo and CPU are old news for new technologies that I need it for and will be upgrading to an 1150 socket i7 in the not so distant future. Save the parts and rebuild the computer as a second one in the future...
