Maybe this is worth a look they were helpful to a a guy on another thread
when he emailed them they gave him advice and ideas how to fix the problem

Here's the thread were the guy fixed his Seagate LBA 0 error issue I wish I could fix my 2 bricked Seagate drives im starting to suspect there's something wrong with my Usb ports as they both turned unusable when i was working on them on the same laptop

Hi buzzbomb, thanks for the post. Sorry for the late reply as I've been busy & haven't had the time to look into the problem again (ran out of ideas & sort of giving up!!!). I had a quick look at the link you provided and it looks pretty full-on ... buying hardware kit, cables etc ... I will need to set aside some quality time to look into it seriously ... will let you know how I go ...

Seagate 250GB USB External Drive
