    Can't remove unwanted printers

Control Panel>>Devices and Printers. Showing old printers and some printers that I have never owned let alone installed. Right click>>remove device. OK but they show up again next time I boot. Doesn't really hurt anything (that's what MS support says) Problem is that when I want to switch between the three printers that I do use I get a confusing dropdown list. Maybe a registry issue? How do I get rid of these?

Thanks for the quick response and link. It worked! They went kicking and screaming but they appear to be gone. Had to stop the spooling and delete the folder contents and also rename an inf file to bak. Who knows
