    Transcend HDD Not detecting.


    Hi ,

    My Transcend StoreJet 25M3 2.5-inch 1TB Portable External Hard Drive, not working last few days. Normally Blue led glow... But now it not glowing. Its not detecting. I checked with Disk management, Device manager . It not showing My HDD. what problem will be there? Cable or HDD ? I not check the cable. Its USB 3.0 cable . So my friends no has it. What i do? If HDD problem means how i recover my files? I need my backup. But it not working now. I have warranty. If i give to Transcend Service center. They will recover my files to me... Pls help me anyone.....

    Hello and welcome mani mate is the drive showing in the BIOS or DISKPART??

    Some system specs too please System Info - See Your System Specs

    Can I ask too just out of curiosity why you are running ultimate on a laptop ? a business one?

    1. It comes with a Y cable. Plug it into two USB ports on your PC and check.

    2. Check your drive on another working PC. Should not matter even if that PC has no USB3 ports. Plug the Y cable to two ports and check whether your drive works.

    3. If the drive does not work on any other PC too, then you have to try with another Y cable. If a Transcend Service point is easily accessible in your city/town you may have it checked there.

    4. In case the external drive as a whole is faulty and in case it is only the interface electronics inside that case has gone bad ( the HDD inside may still be good), the service center may be able to put it inside another working case and retrieve the data for you. But you may have to interact with the service center in person and find out whether they can help out this way.
