system doesn`t meet minimum requirements for printer

So guys, another issue just popped up . I went to re-install my printer that hasen`t been working ( finally found the install disk) and I get a message sayng that my system doesn`t meet the minimum requirements to install it . Here`s the screen grabs of what came up . I added the information to my system in the upper window.

Thanks guys . I probably should have started a new thread , I guess...

Have you tried using the Add printer option in Devices & Printers?

    Hello Brewmaster,

What model number is the printer?

It looks like you are trying to install old XP drivers for the printer in Vista. It would be best to have printer drivers for Vista instead.

It was fine before . I bought it with my system at the same time the tower was purchased. It`s an HP officejet 5610 all in one . The install disc does say Windows 2000, XP, so you could be right but why would it install on Vista before and work for about 6 years ? Maybe Vista updates rendered it obsolete ?

Yeah, I would guess that Windows Update may have installed the driver for you instead.

Here's the latest Vista driver at the HP links below for your HP Officejet 5610 All-in-One printer. Hope these will work better for you. :)
