I just spoke to Thermaltake and they are going to send me the whole panel - still under warranty.

That's great!
Did you test it to determine if the switch is actually bad?

I didn't, but I told Thermaltake that the computer had no problem powering on after Sleep, and he told me the switch was bad.

I thought that was an easier solution, since I'll be getting a new part.

I guess I should have tested the switch first, but I thought I might cause myself a bigger headache if I couldn't power back on.

Thanks to both of you!

Panel came today - Thermaltake said it takes 30 seconds to install - WRONG!

Only took 3 seconds and the problem is immediately solved!

I'm using the Windows 7 RC and the mute button on my HP Pavillion DV7 is stuck in the 'on' phase (ie: it is lit up orange) regardless of whether the sound is actually muted or not. I can live with it but it's really bugging me. Does anyone know how to sort this out?
