Hard drive acting funny and will not defrag.

When I try using Auslogic Bootspeed defragmentation the following error occurs: "Your disk might contain errors. Run the check disk tool to check the volume for errors and fix them. However when I do it freezes up at stage for 62% I believe.

I have also tried using sfc/scannow and it says "Windows Resource Protection could not start the repair service."

Attach below is my scan results from using HDDScan. I also used Segate and it passed the smart test but failed all the other test like the short DST test.

It appears that the drive is dying and needs to be replaced.

Might be worth using HDD regenerator and see if it can help? It is not cheap to buy $99.00 but I believe you can still check the drive without having to pay for it. I have saved a few HDD's before using it.
