Aha-When I inserted the CF card, a description came up as Nikon D200 (F) 1.91GB Fat, Healthy (Active, Primary Partition).

F is Disk 1 and apparently for the CF card.

It is showing but that's it. I still don't know what to do with the photos on the card.

It would have been of great benefit if Dell had included an actual owner's manual instead of a Quick Start Guide that tells you precious little.

Would you like to transfer them to your computer ,delete them? I'm not sure what you're getting at here.

Ok, just navigate to the Card then your pictures should be there!

Yep, you're right. I was surprised they opened since they were shot in RAW format but they did open. Thanks for the help. It will will be easier when I can get a clone of my other HDD in the other computer. I have an extra drive that holds nothing but digital photos and once I get that copied I'll add it to this computer so I can do post processing work.

the software for that will run much faster on this machine than the Vista computer.
