Card Readers

I just recently upgraded from Vista to Windows 7 and having a hard time deciphering the card slots. I inserted a CF card and nothing shows on the screen as to where to move pictures or even an icon of the drive anywhere. In short, nothing happens. Any ideas? Before on the vista machine I just used a card reader but thought the convenience of having that built into the new computer it would be easier...not so far.

What does it say under :
Memory Technology, or something similar?

All I found was under Disk Drives>CF/MD Card. That was it. I went into Card Properties and it said "This device is working properly".

It just shows the OS (C) and Recovery system all on Disk 0. there is nothing shown for Disk 1. It's shown as Removable (F) No Media.

There are three others shown as Disk 2, 3, 4 for Removable E,G, H.
