Questions on my printer setup(s) after repair install

After a successful repair install...I have a couple issues to solve...hopefully without screwing up a now smooth running 7 Pro 64bit system

    1) how do I properly correct the double printer entry in Devices and Printers jpg attached - ip4200?

and 2)...how do I configure this printer/scanner (hp3520.jpg attached)...?...I really only want to use the scanner features on this network printer to connect with my various programs (Adobe Acrobat Pro - PaperPort - OmniPage - etc) for scan to and import scan from a this 'network' scanner feature to my PC. Will need to set up the scanner with each of these programs I know...but how do I get these guys to recognize this networked scanner ?

No issues at this point with printing to 3520 now.

Do I have to install scanning software on my PC and then search/find this scanner on the Network ..?...or do I use the installed scanning feature of the remote/shared PC this printer is installed on ?

    Thanks...TiminAz

    Hello,
The Repair Install may have reverted some drivers to an older version. Check with the manufacturer to find out what the current version is and then make sure that you have that version installed.

    1) Test both of the ip4200 printers to see if they print a test page. If one of them doesn't work then delete it. If they both work then pick one to delete.

    2) I have seen that several printer/scanners have a second software package that deals with the scanner function, so it is separate from the printer drivers. After you (re)install the scanner software, and have it check for updates, then Windows 7 should make the scanner device available to your other programs. As with the printers, if you show duplicate devices then test them both and delete one. I have never looked for a way to have only the scanner functions, so I cannot advise you on that part.
