    installing hard drive

I have Dell E-6520-- The hard drive went bad--I have new hard drive and it was detected and started loading Win 7 64 bit. It wants drivers and says to insert Install disk- I did and message says location does not contain necessary drivers--I downloaded my drivers from a different computer and they are on a disk but how do I get them into my 6525- I put in the disk and again it says no-- I also tried my recovery disk.

Right i am with you now .. Did you get any errors when trying to Install the Drivers ? ..

I take it you got the Drivers from the Dell Website .. ?

Also I take it you have no Internet Connection ?

I always liked using a flash stick, or an external for storing drivers. A small scratch on a dvd or cd can cause issues. I suggest getting a small usb stick and using that instead. For downloading drivers for a different system you need the model number, look at your manufacturing website for info on that.
