I'll try this first thing Monday morning (she'll be at work ), and let you know how it turns out.

For the record, I'm trying to surprise her with this. She plays a lot of WoW, and the processor we have now runs it, but it could be better. As of right now, she has no idea I even got a new processor, let alone almost bricked (I thought) this crate trying to upgrade...

End of Line

Well, I seem to have gotten a bad chip. Took it to the best local computer guy I know, and nothing either of us did got it up and running. I'd like to thank everyone that came in on this one.

BIOS Updates
I was wondering, is there a website or something where I could see the updates that every single new BIOS version has brought. I've been looking for a list telling the new stuff they have and what they've fixed, but I haven't found anything. I'm just interested to see, what updates is there...

Did I brick this PC by flashing BIOS incorrectly?
So here's what happened. I stupidly tried to flash my roommate's computer's BIOS from with Windows, and now it won't boot. It doesn't even get to a POST screen. It just has a sequence of 2 beeps, about 1 second long per beep, then about 3 seconds before the beeps start again. I tried clearing the...
