    Router with Guest option

Can anyone suggest a low cost router with a Guest network option? I need to isolate friends/kids from the home network but let them connect to the Internet.

I tried an ASUS RT-N12 but the firmware does not allow pasting of passwords. DUH! I was left to hand enter a 28-character random mix of characters every time I wanted to access the setup. Gack!! I called and they said is was a "security feature." Well, yeah, low security, as it encourages people to use simple passwords if they have to type them in all the time. Thanks

You can use two routers on your network. Remember, a router connects or isolates two networks. So if you buy an inexpensive 2nd router and connect that to one of the free Ethernet ports on Router 1, then your guests can connect through Router 2 through Router 1 and out to the Internet without seeing the other computers connecting through Router 1.

That said, I am not sure of your concern, or your current setup. How do your computers connect? Ethernet or wireless? Are you worried guests will have access to your computers? Your current router, and your computer's security should not allow that - unless you open up sharing.

Try one of the Belkin ones - mine has the option, but is no longer manufactured
