dvd/cd isnt shoing up

    dvd/cd isnt shoing up


    i have a hp dv2000 laptop and recently the dvd drive stopped working...it seems to be in the device manager but doesnt show up on my computer...any ideas on how to fix it?...thanks in advance

    Just for the record what are you attempting to play ? what type of media/ Movie load a program...

    First of all is it ejecting manually? Then it is the problem with power cable.

    If so,try to remove the dvd rom,and insert it screw it again,then go to device manager and scan for hardware changes..
    Hope if your problem is solved....

    What antivirus do you use ? Also go to computer management and then device manager. Post the drivers from DVD/CD-ROM drivers tab.
