LCD Gone bad? Is it fixable? Pictures included.

I have a Toshiba Satellite p755 (2012) that has worked great and put up with me through thick and thin, until about 2 months ago when my LCD just went KAPUT! The computer was never dropped, or never dropped anything untop of it, it also doesn't have water damage(that i know of) and has been taking good care of. Now I was just using it and everything was straight, went downstairs for maybe 2 mins and i come back up only to find my LCD looking like this (pics attached). I have tried everything i can think of, drivers, opening it up, cables, trouble shooting, even factory resetting (long shot) to no avail. If i hook it up to an external display the computer works, its just the LCD thats screwed up.

Side note and question: I previously came on here to ask about hardware issues with my mouse because it wasnt working properly, lagged and unprecise. I went as far as factory resetting the computer and the mosue still worked retardedly but works fine in other comps. Could it be possible that the LCD is interfering with the mouse?

So my biggest question is does the image change at all when moving the screen forward or backwards? This could signify that the LCD cable is damaged instead. Way cheaper repair BTW. If the screen doesn't really change tho during this test a LCD replacement will be required.

Im not sure i understand what you mean by forwards or backwards. But maybe this will answer your ?. The screen lines do change colors and alternate in place when i switch screens or watch something. They lines are not set per say, they move around and change colors when i move the mouse etc.

Edit: Oh like the actual screen lid! No they dont change, its only when what i wrote above happens.

Lol you got that edit in before I could log in. But yeh so since they don't make any change when moving the screen. That means the LCD will need to be replaced. If your fairly handy this is something you can do yourself but if you don't feel comfortable I would recommend getting a shop to replace it for you. If you need any help finding the part or deciding if you want to do the repair yourself let me know. I do these repairs all day long and I work for a part sales company that could help you get the correct part.

EDIT: FYI there are lots of YouTube videos of how to replace the screen for your particular modal.

Thats what I was afraid of... well its only like 60$ for the LCD no big ideal iguess. I actually do feel comfortable messing around with the comp, I have some decent knowledge of computahzzz hehe but I would appreciate it if you could tell me what LCD model or type to get because i found the listing on Ebay but it wouldnt be a bad idea to hear your input Thanks for the help!

Oh ALSO, Im having a situation with my mouse(s) that is starting to drive me up a fkin wall! For some reason the mouse that i have now or any other mouse for that matter is delayed and just really unprecise to use, specially for gaming. Like it works "fine" it clicks everyhting and does not glitch out but when i use it with my computer its just retarded. Now the mouse it self works because i have tested it on other computers but my computer just doesnt react well to it im not sure what to do. Ive done EVERYTHING to try to troubleshoot this, i even factory reseted just a few days ago and it still wont help. Do you think that the LCD might somehow affect how the mouse works? Hope that wasnt to confusing.

There is actually two different part numbers for the LCD there is going to be the OEM part number from toshiba as well as a part number for the actual LCD itself from the manufacturer. Generally the manufacturer part number is going to be cheaper. I would recommend removing the LCD from the unit prior to purchase that way you can gather all that info.

And I have read over your other mouse posts, and it sounds like you've done everything you can do. If drivers and a factory reset don't work that covers about all software issues you could of ran into. So the only things I can think of is either that the mouse needs to be calibrated don't really know if theres any software out there to do this but if there is maybe it will help. The other thing is to make sure you have your BIOS updated to the newest revision. I have a few issues with some of the toshiba's having some weird keyboard errors and heard that newer bios's can help this. So maybe the newest revision haves made some improvements that will fix this.
