Anyone turn off search indexing with new SSD?

I thought something was a little off with my performance and decided to just disable and re enable some things on my SSD.

After re enabling the search indexing feature, performance was noticeably better and to my surprise the SSD benchmarks improved as well .

Just was curious about this but thought i should share.

I also did that a long time ago.

Edit: I guess I misread - I thought you disabled the indexing feature - that's what I did.

I use Everything Everything Search Engine

It finds anything on my comp in seconds, and I have 5 hdds.

Trying to figure out what "Everything" is about , does anyone else use this?

I don't doubt what your saying , was just curious if anybody else had opinions on it and if others are familiar with it from Seven forums .

Why not give it a try?

If you don't like it ( but I think you will), you can just uninstall it.

I really don't understand it to be honest and i'm very happy with my current browser , don't really know the differences between a search engine and say Google.

If you've ever tried to locate a file and couldn't remember the full name and where it is, this program will find it and all you need to do is enter a part of the name.

Ahh, now i get it lol, yeah thats not an issue with me , i have always kept my computer with literally nothing on it except what windows comes with.

I really don't download and save anything to my computer , i never have . I was solely interested in a little quicker access times when browsing the net and re enabling windows search indexing seemed to do that , don't have any clue why but it has .

Computer is definitely faster with browsing the net now , not a night and day difference but noticeable nonetheless.

When i said i was just disabling and re enabling things to test if they made a difference in this area windows search was one of them (not because i was searching for anything though) just because i happened upon it.

My parents can never find anything on their computer ( and they keep lots of stuff ) so they might definitely need "Everything".
