New desktop - cloning ssd before using

I'd like to clone the ss drive of my new desktop before I begin using the computer. It is a 256 gb solid state drive, not a card. I'd like to clone it to a larger ss drive, then switch out to the larger drive before I begin using the computer.

The drive I want to use is a new Samsung 850Pro 1 TB drive. I understand this drive comes with migration software so am I correct in that I simply clone the ss drive that is the C of the new desktop, then switch the smaller ssd with my cloned larger capacity Samsung ss drive?

My thanks for advice as to how to proceed.

Yes, if that Samsung software works. There were reports that it does not work. Then you can use free Macrium. Just image and restore all partitions.
