Touch pad keys not working on Samsung notebook

Seems like it started after loading Norton. The touchpad works, but wont let me select anything with the left or right buttons. I have put in a usb mouse and that seems to work. The buttons work when I am in safe mode. What would cause it to not work in normal Win 7? To be specific, the pad seems fine, the buttons do not work in Win 7. Removed Norton and the problem was still there. Obviously some setting I am not aware of when the full operating system loads. Thanks for any help!

Does your Notebook have a specific key on the keyboard that enables/disables the touchpad? I know some Dell models have this. (It's kind of like a Caps Lock or Num Lock key that lights up. You may have to use the Function key to get at it).

I ended up re-loading the drivers and it worked. Frustrating that Norton messes around with them
