Windows 7: Motherboard delivered with bent pins

Well, I sure don't know how they would know that. If no thermal interface materials (TIM) have spewed onto the socket and no screws have scratched the mounting holes, I don't see how they say it was touched. I am glad they seem to be working with you - but clearly, with the box undamaged, it would appear you are not the first buying of this board, and it was returned to stock, then re-sold to you as new - assuming it did not say "open box" or refurbished when you bought it.

If you get your money back, I might do business with someone else.

Well, sadly, it probably is not proof unless you started recording as you opened the shipping box then opening the motherboard box, removing the anti-static bag and revealing the bent pins - with no breaks in the video that skip over where you dropped the motherboard on the floor and your dog grabbed it and ran off while chomping on it.

But it may show us exactly what you are talking about.

I know. I believe you. I have no doubts that is how the board was delivered to you. I am just saying if the company refuses to believe you, or just decides not to, your after the fact video is not proof you didn't do it. And therefore, it may difficult, at best, to get any legal recourse.

If the company does give you grief, about the only thing you may be able to do is tell your story on forums like this, so others refuse to do business with that company.

If they are smart, and want your future business, they will replace the board, no questions asked. And then you can tell your story about how the company treated you right. That's one reason why I like Gigabyte motherboards. They replaced one for me several years ago that had leaky capacitors even though the board was 4 years old - 1 year out of warranty. After sales support is critical, IMO, in the reputation of a company.
