Hello,
I procrastinate uncontrollably when there's an internet connection available.
So I figured:
1. Disable built-in network card
2. Buy USB network card
3. Give the network card to a roommate whenever I need to study etc.
For first I need to physically disable my built-in network card in my Lenovo E530. Is it somehow possible? I don't care going to extremes such as hurting it etc.

Hi .. You should be able to Disable the Card in the Device Manager ...
As for using it in another Computer it would have to be compatible ...

Some Network Cards are Integrated into the Motherboard ...
Not a Physical way but go into Control Panel/Network and there you can disconnect your network setup.

None of the above "physically" disable the card - except your own option 3.
Other ways include pulling the Ethernet cable (though that physically disconnects your network access and not the card). Or unplug the router/modem from the wall and have your roommate lock it up where you cannot get it.
That said, it seems admitting your obsession is the first step and perhaps getting some professional help (and there's no shame in that) to control your obsession - before it consumes you and destroys opportunities ahead of you - would be best.
