    Latest Security Update issues

The latest security update I downloaded on my laptop made my Microsoft Natural Ergonomic 4000 keyboard stop working and the only way I was able to get it to work again was to uninstall the latest update. Any advise to be able to install the latest critical security update without losing the ability to use my keyboard? I use this keyboard with my work laptop and we do not have a way to pick and choose which elements in an update we want, so that option is off the table

Just a suggestion, create a restore point (System Restore Point - Create) install the update then reinstall the drivers for your keyboard (Software Downloads: Natural Ergonomic Keyboard 4000). I don't know if that would help, but it may. The restore point may give you a way back if it doesn't work.

I actually did do a restore to 30Oct14, which I knew my keyboard was working fine on that date, and that worked. My concern is that I do not have the latest security updates. You'd think if Microsoft sent the security updates that their products, such as the keyboard, would still work Am I missing something??
