Yep that's what I've been reading,

I still think I can modify the front of the plastic face to fit the other one in,
But it would be sideways instead of horizontal as usual :/

Sounds like a fun MacGyver project

I just installed a MX100 256GB in my Lenovo Laptop.
Here are my results over at eightforums.

Also specs from Crucial site. I think the write speed is affected by the number of chips used in each size.
With more chips it can spread the write over multiple chips at the same time which is basically a Raid 0.

My Laptop had a 9mm HDD with a mount. My MX100 is a 7mm and came with a small gasket to fit it in the same mount.

Jim, that Lenovo with an A10 for $400 was a good deal. Where did you get that from. I just bought a HP 17" with an A8 and that was $400 also (after $50 MIR).

Crucial M4 has been discontinued
Maybe this isn't news to many of you, but is to me, the M4 line of SSDs from crucial has been discontinued. The replacement is the M500 series and is a 7.5mm with a 9.5mm adapter. This is from a chat I had with a Crucial rep:

Do I need more RAM - Crucial says I do!
HP desktop PC (core i7 2600, GT240) used for office work, e-mail, browsing, and light gaming. Is 8MB enough? In the screen shots there's not a lot going on, but I occasionally run some 'classic' games via Steam. BTW I was just able to get a nice Core i7 notebook form HP with Win7! Not sure if...

OCZ Vertex Plus R2 SSD or Crucial v4 SSD?
Hi, I was wondering which SSD would be better when comparing speed/quality/reliablity, etc. My computer only has SATAII (2) so I don't need a really fast SATAIII (3) one, but I was wondering which would be better. Obviously Crucial Drives are the cheapest on the market, but I've heard that ORZ...

SSD performance degradation, Crucial C300 vs. OCZ V3...
I have two systems with different SSD drives; the performance of both systems with Win7 64-bit is just fine, there are no issues. Just out of curiosity, I compared the AS SSD historical benchmarks performance to see, if there's any substantial performance degradation between the time frames the...
