Will my computer Be faster with vista sp2?

Hi, I am running windows 7 sp1 and im looking foward to "downgrade" to vista sp2

Processor: AMD A8-4500M APU with Radeon Hd Graphics

    1.90 GHz

    8.00 GB (7.48 usable) RAM

    64-bit operating system

    will my performance be better?

iv'e heard reviews that vista sp2 is more snappier than 7 sp1, is it true?

I also want to move because of the looks of vista.

No, your computer will be slower.

    Don`t do it.

But if you`re set on doing it, just create another partition for Vista, don`t wipe out 7

Do you have a Vista activation key ?

That would be a great step back. If you want snappy, use Linux. The free Windows 10 TP is pretty fast too. But use that only as an alternate system. It is a pre-beta version although very stable.

As a general rule newer operating systems are faster then their predecessors. The idea that newer systems are bloated and slow is a myth not supported by the facts.

Getting an ISO of a version of Windows is not an issue, you can easily download almost any version of 32 bit/64 bit Windows 7 Home/Premium/Professional/Ultimate straight from Microsoft; however, your product key is only valid for a very specific ISO/version of Win7...

The only reason I'd ever encourage the use of Vista over Win7 is if you are running an illegal/cracked version of Win7...

    Why so? [emoji15]
Original/Cracked whatever. I see no reason to use vista unless one has some hardware driver issues or something with seven.
For an average joe, 7 is just a refined vista (or you can call it Vista SP3 in a sense).

Agree to that. Windows 7 is a result of Microsoft's attempt to fix Vista.

Not going to get into an argument of how much better Win7 is than Vista -- but can say, that when I upgraded an old laptop from Vista to Win7, I immediately saw improvements in performance.

So, like the others, I would advise against going back to Vista.
