How do I determine the TCP/IP Address of my printer?

Hello,
I would like to communicate with my printer via Quick Basic and I think to talk to it I need to know its address, can anyone tell me how to find this?

Sounds as though your printer is configured only for dynamic IP addressing?

If that's so, configure your router's DHCP server for a range of static IP addresses and pick one of them for your printer. That way you will always be assured of the same printer IP address.

If your router doesn't support static IP, then perhaps it's time to replace it for one that does.

For a short-term solution, login to your router's configuration gateway. You should quickly be able to determine the IP addresses in use there. Caveat, though is that your printer's IP address is subject to change at any time with dynamic IP addressing.
