Dell PowerEdge 840 won't recognize hard drives

I recently got a Dell PowerEdge 840 server, but I'm having a few issues with it. When I first got the server, there were no hard drives inside of it. So I got a 3TB SATA hard drive and stuck it in the hard drive slot so I could install Windows. But the computer doesn't seem to realize that I put a hard drive in it. When I go into the BIOS settings, it says 'Unknown device' under all 3 of the SATA hard drive slots.

This is the first time I've ever really worked with a server like this, so I don't have any experience with this kind of stuff. So if anyone knows what I might be doing wrong (or what I can do to fix this), please let me know. Thanks in advance.

The Dell desktop forum would be the best place to post this problem. People there familiar with Dells.

You can also find the Dell documentation on this server model HERE
