Hello derekimo. Thanks for the link. I gave it a go. It works. (Should have combed my hair. )
Would you know why I can't find the program in my programs??

Well at least you know it works. I don't really know why you can't find the software, there are usually better options than the stuff they install from the OEM.

What do you want to do with it?

According to HP this is what was installed,

Cyberlink YouCam Software - HP 2000-150CA Notebook PC | HP® Support

Do you see a Cyberlink YouCam software anywhere?

Well, besides take selfies...
I just want the icon shortcut on my desktop and to be able to use it when I need it.
Like talk to my sister in Mexico.

At post #1, I mentioned I did a clean install of windows 7.

No derekimo,
I thought it wise to ask questions before I did anything.
I did download You cam though. It is sitting on my desk top waiting.

That is directly from the support page for your laptop, so you can go ahead and install it when you are ready.

Always a good idea to ask questions, a wise move indeed.
