EXTERNAL ssd checking software

Hi there

Anybody know of any software to perform checks on SSD's attached to the system EXTERNALLY.

All the software I see will only perform stuff if the SSD was the BOOT device unless you ("go pro" i.e pay !!).

I'd like to check out 2 or 3 SSD's before I actually fit them into a system.

Cheers
jimbo

Hello Jimbo mate have you tried the AS SSD Benchmark one? Seems odd that you can't check an external without having to pay for it - a bit like say doing a chkdsk on one and Windows asking for more money to do it??

Recently installed software interferes with checking (System) disk
I tried to run a check disk of my C: (System) drive, and was unable to do so through Windows. It claims that it cannot run due to a recently installed software package and recommends I use system restore to revert back. Odd thing is, I just recently used a system image to recover the system, and I...
