    Printer Error 0x00000057

I'm read the other post on this same issue but it didn't help me much. I am on a dell XPS laptop and trying to print to the network printer in my office. I can install everyother printer on the network but the main one.

Add Printer finds the one I want and tries to install it but then give be a "Windows cannot connect to the printer, Operation failed with error 0x00000057"

I have downloaded and installed the driver from the Toshiba website for an e-Studio 450 and copied that driver folder into the "FileRepository" folder but that didn't seem to work either.

I've got this same issue. I can print to the same printer from a different account on the same computer, so there is obviously nothing wrong with the printer or the printer sharing setup on the computer it's connected to. It must be something on my client PC - something that's magically changed since earlier today, when printing was working fine. I guess it's something to do with permissions, but why can't we have some meaningful and helpful eror messages instead of the hopeless "Error 0x00000057"?

Hi, maybe you should check the permissions on the printer....
