Windows 7: Hard Disk not detected

Doctore I tried to start windows in safe mode but when I do so, the files are read : you know list of file go from top to bottom, and then after some time it just hangs there, nothing.

I had a repair disk, but it did not work because the hard disk goes undetected on starting windows. But I will have to try to use that repair disk from another computer, because atleast I get a blue screen error indicating that OS is corrupt and that means the hard drive is read , right?

Yes. If the system can see the hard drive to give you that error you could possibly get in to try a Startup Repair.

Your repair disk goes undetected likely because you need to change the boot sequence to make your CD drive the first boot device.

Get that repair disk working and see if windows can fix any startup issues for you ("Startup Repair" option on the disk).

Doctore, I am sure that I have changed the boot sequence, but it just does not work. Therefore I have to try as Tveblen suggested. Thanks for your consideration , I will try to see if it works in another three days, and will tell the result.

Hello. I read over what you have tried thus far.
I seen you was able to boot it one time.

In the Bios what does it say your 1st Boot Option is?
I seen you said it was on the correct one. But you
never mentioned what the one was.
Pls check and let me know. Thanks.

Like on mine it has to be on Windows Boot Manager: ST1000DMOO3.
It also lists just ST1000DMOO3 all alone as an Option to choose from.
This can be tricky for novice user's.

If the above solution is on the correct boot option.
And if Start Up Repair: fails/hangs.
I would resort in: Reinstalling Windows. Especially since it states: OS is corrupt.
Make sure Bios First Boot Option is on: DVD if Reinstalling Windows by disk.

What should I do to make my computer show the blue screen error. If it is able to show that error in the other computer and not my computer, what could possibly be the reason? Any suggestions?

You will get more and better help if you start your own thread. A lot of people will pass this one by as an old one.

But...

What happens if you jiggle the USB connector at the external drive (push it, slightly/gently rock it) while it is connected to the PC? Does that make it connect and disconnect again?
I had a Seagate GoFlex that did that. It was the connector at the housing.
