BENQ GL2450 Goes Black few seconds then comes back.

    Morning / afternoon all.

Having a issue where my screen will go black for a few seconds it could be in-game watching movie, music anything and then it will come back to my life, the monitor is 3 weeks old.

Im using HDMI cable and have tried three different cables as well.

    I will post specs below:

    System Model
Windows 7 Home Premium (x64) Service Pack 1 (build 7601)
Gigabyte Technology Co., Ltd. Z97X-Gaming 5
    8006 Megabytes Usable Installed Memory

    Slot 'ChannelA-DIMM0' is Empty
    Slot 'ChannelA-DIMM1' is Empty
    Slot 'ChannelB-DIMM0' has 4096 MB
    Slot 'ChannelB-DIMM1' has 4096 MB
NVIDIA GeForce GT 630 [Display adapter]
Standard VGA Graphics Adapter [Display adapter]
    BenQ GL2450H [Monitor] (24.0"vis, s/n L9E03537019, September 2014)

    Anyone help be appreciated.

The monitor has no forced refresh rates or anything.

    Thank you my humble friends

Just to rule out your video card having issues, I would try to see if I could borrow a monitor to use for a day and see if the problem persists with that monitor. Likewise, I would see about trying the monitor on a friend's computer and see how that works out.

Post back and let us know what happens.

    EDIT:

Can you also take a screenshot of Device Manager with the "Display Adapters" tab expanded, and post it, please?

I used a DVI cable last night which solved it. I tried a 3 HDMI cables which still had the same issue does anyone know of a setting in the graphics card?

I know of no setting, but HDMI does tax the video card a fair bit. Maybe your card is overheating? My screen goes black when mine does.

    Just a thought.
