Issues with Bluetooth settings not saving.

I've recently got a CSR Bluetooth chip. It installed properly as far as I can tell. The problem however is, that when I go to change setting to allow my comp to be detectable it tells me "An error occurred while Windows was saving your settings. The Bluetooth device might be unplugged.

The following settings were not saved:

Discoverability settings
Connection settings"

How do I get it to stop glitching the save on this?

I, hit your link. I can't tell if it gave the needed info however. I may end up reposting when I'm sure. But yes... assuming it did, I must ask how one does a few things. The device does show in the manager, And when I tried to access Bluetooth settings through it the above error stops me from saving the settings as I wish to do. As for your next question, I actually hadn't thought of that and do not know exactly how to go about doing it.

I only have the Bluetooth dongle, if that's what you mean... I'm not sure. It's a CSR Bluetooth chip. I'd need help to find the model number.

I've gone to the Device manager, found the chip, and when I right click on it, there isn't an option to disable it. I have Bluetooth Settings, Creat shortcut, Troubleshoot, and Properties. Am I in the wrong location to attempt to disable it or is there something actually wrong here?

CSR Bluetooth Chip -- Bluetooth settings not working
I bought a bluetooth dongle which for some reason isn't working in Windows 7. It shows up in Devices and Printers as "CSR Bluetooth Chip" and when I right click on it and select bluetooth settings, nothing happens. It shows up under Bluetooth Radios in device manager. As a test I tried using it in...

Saving OS GUI settings across reinstall
I am using Windows 7 ultimate 64-bit. The system has been running unchanged (except for regular updates from Microsoft) for several years and thus collected a lot of "garbage"and I wish to reinstall it from scratch. I am severely visually impaired and, as a consequence, need a screen magnifier...

WMP 12 - Saving video settings
Hi people I know that saving those settings is impossible and that it's meant to be that way ( to keep the noobs from messing the things up ) and up until WMP 12 that didn't bothered me much . In XP I was using KMPlayer/VLC for the films and ITunes for the music . Now that WMP 12 fits so well in...
