Put secondary disk to sleep mode as default

    Hi,
Is there a way to put secondary disk to sleep mode by default ?
I have 3 HDDS and I want that 3rd to be in sleep mode by default.
I want to do is because it's noisy.

Hello Peter, and welcome to Seven Forums.

You can change you Power Plan Settings to turn of idle hard drives after so many minutes, but it does this with all hard drives and not just a single one.

    Hope this helps,

    Hi Shawn,

Thanks for the tip (I knew that one), but I need only that particular one to be in sleep mode by default - I need others disks running.

Is there some hack in registry (or wherever) ?

I know that I can place the disk offline from Disk Management, but in a case I need something on that disk I have to go to Disk Management to put it back online.... It's not the solution I like

    Thanks again !
