Make an External HDD to Internal HDD

I have a failing seagate 3TB HDD (am getting cycle redundancy errors) I would like to put in the PC as an internal WITHOUT losing any files. How would I go about that, as when I have done it before it has asked me to format drive.

Ending up fixing it, it got to 73% on chkdsk with a errors and stopped but I then did a /f and it fixed the problem.

That drive does not sound good. I would not trust it.

Did you say that checkdisk fixed the problem and you are now able to access the drive?

Whatever, use Seatools for Windows SeaTools for Windows | Seagate
and check your drive. If it passes the short and long tests, it should be OK.

However, keep a backup of any and all important data on it. This applies to all important data which you may not like to lose on all drives.
