It would have been more better if I could save more data from this drive but it's ok.
You have only two more things to try to format the drive.
Try formatting the drive with HP USB Disk Storage Format Tool v2.2.3 Download it from HP USB Disk Storage Format Tool Download - Softpedia
It is a single *.exe file. With only your faulty USB drive connected, right click on it and run as administrator.
If it will not format, then try to lowlevel format it with HDD Low Level Format Tool v 4.40. Download Windows Executable (works without installation) from HDDGURU: HDD LLF Low Level Format Tool This will write zeros to all sectors of the HDD. Be careful to select the correct drive for lowlevel formatting.
If it successfully completes the low level formatting, you have to do a regular formatting using the above HP Tool or even Windows Disk management.
If both these fail, you have no other option except taking the drive out of the enclosure.
Ok thanks for more instructions my friend :).
I will go eat and do another chore and then i will be free and will follow the instructions.
Yep, do it at your leisure if the above two format procedures fail.:)
Yes, it is not recognized. Try HDD low level format tool.
