If I understand your question, yes. Your web browser should be able to access this forum. The first time you will have to sign in, but after that you should be able to come here and do most anything. Also, the questions I asked. Can you get to BIOS?

I don't have your system specs or I may be able to help a little more. But, does your computer have LED lights on the board? Some of the more recent ones have LED lights which will point out where the problem is. Your manual would tell you that.

Most monitors are set to where you select the type of input you are using. For example, if you are using a DVI cable, set the monitor to DVI or it won't recognize the signal. What cable did you use to connect your Husband's laptop to it? Try the same cable with your computer.

Yes, Motherboard. If you read your manual it will tell you what all the LEDs are for.

I skimmed through the thread, didn't see any mention of it, does your screen display anything when you turn the computer on? No POST screen? Nothing?

    Update:
I just saw in your original post what shows on the screen... does your motherboard have on-board video you could connect the monitor to?

It just runs but sits there with nothing on screen but from the monitor it says safe mode or something. Used to say no signal.

Have you or do you have another display you can test? I can't recall if that was already looked into.
